Ray Cooper is a glass and PMC® artist from Blue Hill, Maine. Ray has been working in PMC® since 2004, and has been a certified PMC® instructor since 2006. Ray loves to enthusiastically share his love of PMC® and the skills he has learned from studying with such master teachers as Tim McCreight and Fred Woell. This is his fourth year teaching at IBE shows. For 2010 Ray is bringing back his popular Introduction to PMC® class, plus he will also be teaching an Introduction class to the new metal clay, COPPRclay™. This material works like PMC®, but at roughly 1/8 the cost is a much less expensive alternative. Check the schedule to see where this class will be offered. Please note that because this new metal clay has a very long firing time (5 or more hours) you will need to pick up your work the following morning. For the more experience PMC® artist, Ray will be offering three classes this year. Hollow Forms in PMC® and PMC® Rings are for those with basic experience, and a new class, Tips and Tricks for the Experienced PMC® artist, will be a fun class with many “tricks” and sharing of ideas. It will only be offered once this year, at the May Marlborough show. Ray’s work and his metal clay forum can be found on his website, www.cooperbeads.com.
Ray will teach at the following Innovative shows:
